From advanced training in the UK to leading orthopaedic care in Chennai, Dr. Senthil Kamalasekaran’s journey reflects decades of dedication, innovation, and compassionate patient care.

2018 – Present

Chennai Ortho Clinic

Chennai Ortho Clinic is established for serving the people of the OMR belt as the area was found to have deficiency of the specialty. Now the clinic caters to a variety of patients and has expanded to include radiography and physiotherapy services.

2015 – Present

Lotus Speciality Clinic

Lotus Speciality Clinic was started at Nungambakkam and expanded to OMR where orthopaedics was a part of the organisation to provide outpatient services. Started knee preservation techniques to prevent Arthritis using Stem cell therapy, PRP injections, Visco supplementation – Hyaluronic acid injections.

2013 – Present

Senior Consultant Orthopaedics

Returned to India and joined Apollo hospitals, Chennai as senior consultant orthopaedics and till date provided quality care for all patients and consistently provided good results.

2002 – 2012

MRCS and Work

Pursued MRCS in Glasgow, UK and Knee Fellowship London. Started working for different consultants in orthopaedics and honed skills in joint replacement, ligament reconstruction, foot & ankle procedures and spinal surgery.

1998 – 2001

MS Orthopaedics

Did MS Orthopaedics at SRMC & RI Chennai.

1990 – 1997

MBBS

At Madurai Medical College. After housemanship went to Coimbatore and worked in orthopaedics under Dr. S. Venkat and desired to pursue a career in orthopaedics.

Schooling

Early Schooling – The Lawrence School Lovedale, Ooty.
High School – Campion Anglo-Indian Higher Secondary School, Tiruchirappalli.
Higher Secondary – Vikaasa School, Madurai.
